Career Development
The American School Counselor Association defines career development as standards guiding school counseling programs to help students 1) understand the connection between school and the world of work and 2) plan for and make a successful transition from school to post-secondary education and/or the world of work and from job to job across the life span.

Elementary Career Clusters
Career Clusters represent a grouping of similar occupations according to common knowledge and skills for the purpose of organizing educational programs. Georgia's 17 career clusters are modeled after the National Career Cluster Framework and are delivered to elementary students in first through fifth grade.
